Expert review about HP EliteBook 840 G7

Hey guys, so Roky here, and today I’m doing a video overview and setup guide to the HP EliteBook 840 g7. This 14-inch laptop can be found in a variety of different specifications. And in this video, we’re going to go through some of its features.

Furthermore, I’d like to thank HP for actually sponsoring this video. So without further ado, let’s get into it. So let’s first start and talk about the build quality and design. Now you’ve got two different variants and the dimensions and weight will be on your screen.

But what doesn’t change, however, is the design of the laptop which has got a full aluminum body and chambered edges and rubber grips underneath the laptop which prevent it from sliding around on a hard surface. In terms of ports, you’ve got two USB 3.1 Type C ports, which can also drive power, and you’ve got an HDMI 1.4 inputs and a DC inputs inlet as well.

On the other side, you’ve got two USB 3.1 gen one ports, one of which can deliver power as well, and you’ve got a combination headphones fashion like a 3.5-millimeter jack.

There’s also a smart card slot on the left-hand side of a laptop which provides more secure access for people who have that functionality for security there’s also a fingerprint sensor found that the front of the laptop and this also doubles up with HP security suite which therefore allows you to not only password protect windows but also protect it at the BIOS level if you so wish. On the subject of security.

There’s the HP shore view reflect, which is available on certain models. And if you have it enabled by the f2 key, it will dim the screen and also mean that if you’re looking at it from a certain angle, it will be completely blacked out. Essentially protecting the data that you’ve got and therefore not sharing it with anyone around you.

So for example, if you’re looking at the laptop in this angle, and I were to enable it, so you can see that it pretty much means that the screen is unable to see that you can see my hand on the screen. Whereas with a disabled you can see what are the contents on the screen. Which again is going to be very useful in a business environment. On the subject of the panel.

There’s an IPS Full HD display that’s capable of up to 400 nits and at the top of it. There is a 720 p HD camera which also can be concealed via a small little plastic insert found at the top bezel of the screen. Now, when it comes to performance. The laptop I’ve got over here has got the Intel Core a seven V Pro 10 610 U processor. Which aims to deliver better productivity and adds hardware-based security features as well. Now, it’s also got the Intel UHD graphics built-in.

So worth bearing that in mind as storage, there’s a 500-gigabyte NVMe SSD installed. And with Windows installation, it gives you around 426 gigabytes of available storage to play around with now moving on to the keyboard. As you can see, they’re appropriately spaced out, and you’ve got a mouse trackpad with two physical buttons. There’s also the center mouse math if you want to use that, or you’re more used to it as well.

And it’s intuitive because of the bottom placements, meaning you can use this and press the left and right buttons as well as for the keyboard. I’m just going to go quiet and you guys can hear it also the keyboard has an elimination which can be enabled or indeed reduced or fully disabled if you so wish.

And besides the keyboard you’ve got two forward-facing stereo speakers which have been tuned by buying an awesome now the speakers can be tailored to your preference if you type in audio into the Start menu and go into the HP audio control app, you can customize a few things. For example, the audio levels, the noise cancellation. The equalizer in my case with the equalizer for the speakers.

I’ve got it on music, and you can see here I’ve got a pre-assigned EQ that I tailored for myself, but again you can tailor this to your liking as for wireless connectivity.

This has Wi-Fi six compatibility and also Bluetooth five finally this has got a 53-watt hour battery pack built-in which is non-removable, and also it can be recharged via USB type C as previously mentioned, for example with the bundled charger that we’ve got here, which has got a nice fabric design. So there we have it.
