Design:

The Huawei Y8s offers a shiny unibody design with an endurable form factor. The device is handy and easy to hold in hand. The device got a colour reflective back design- which looks very attractive and premium. The Y8s appears for purchase in these two colours- Midnight Black and Emerald Green. Its weight is 180 grams, and its structure measures are- 162.4 x 77.1 x 8.1 mm. You will surely love the overall designing effort and its build quality- at this expense. 

Display: 

Huawei adorned the device with a 6.5-inch Full HD plus display with a minimal notch. (1080 x 2340p, 19.5:9 ratio, 396 PPI).

This FHD+ display performs almost like an AMOLED panel. It shows pure, rich colours and makes content watching time more enjoyable. The display’s brightness and viewing angle are okay with the price. And its notch and bezels are acceptable. The display is ‘touch-responsive, and you will not face any touch problems. 

Chipset and Memory:

The Y8s is getting the power to perform for you from the HiSilicon Kirin 710 CPU; it has eight cores with a Mali-G51 MP4 GPU. (4×1.7 GHz Cortex-A53 + 4×2.2 GHz Cortex-A73). Ram and Storage: The mobile stocks 4 GB of Ram and 64/128 GB of inside memory.

The Kirin 710 is a 12 nm chipset with four Cortex A73 based big cores. It can run heavy games at balanced graphics; and will efficiently manage regular multitasking pressures. Though it is not a flagship chipset, you will get a decent mid-range experience every day. We can compare its performance capability to the Snapdragon 660. It’s an old chip but can give you the power to go on.

Camera:

Huawei enabled a dual rear camera system on the Y8s- a 48 MP wide + a 2 MP depth camera. And an 8 MP selfie lens in the front part to capture selfies.

Camera Performance: The 48 MP rear lens is a great camera for day and nighttime photography. It can take vivid, sharp images with admirable details. Also, its 2 MP depth camera gives excellent supports. And the 8 MP selfie sensor can also capture well-detailed selfies on the go. The camera performance is above average.

Network and Connectivity, Sensors:

You will meet with 4G, 3G, and 2G networks and enjoy an admirable downloading and gaming experience with the Y8s. Huawei also brought- FM radio, Bluetooth 4.2, LED flash-light, a 3.5mm headphone jack, micro USB 2.0, A-GPS, and a Loudspeaker to this Y8s. It is disappointing that Huawei not provided a USB Type-C cable at this price.

Sensors: The phone came up with a rear-mounted fingerprint detecting sensor that will accurately detect and prevent unknown users from access. Huawei also offers- Compass, Proximity sensor, Light sensor, and Accelerometer.

Battery Backup and Operating System:

Huawei supplied a 4,000 mAh fixed battery with the Y8s with a 10W fast adapter (Micro-USB 2). The battery is efficient to deliver you a one-day battery charge in basic use. Ant its 10W adapter can refill the battery within 1.5 hours. The battery size is not appreciable regarding its price, and Huawei could bring a Type-C cable.

OS: The Y8s runs on Google’s Android version 9 with EMUI 9.1. The device supports Google Play services but how long it will be is uncertain.

The Huawei Y8s is an Android 9 based mid-range device with reliable performing capability. It also brings magnificent camera performance as well with Google Play service.
